Unruly Arts provides art instruction and skill-building to adults with a disability who are interested in becoming more involved with the creative process. The studio is open Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and participants may choose morning or afternoon sessions.
studio artist program
Unruly Arts provides studio artists workspace, instruction, a variety of materials, and opportunities to explore a wide variety of media. Studio artists choose media and subject matter, and professional artists and volunteers assist each studio artist in developing a meaningful arts practice. The Studio operates with a spirit of openness and joy, guiding each individual to showcase their talent and ability and offering professional opportunities to exhibit and sell their work. Previous art experience is not required … just an interest in exploring art.
Become a Studio Artist at Unruly Arts:
Studio artists at Unruly Arts will learn how to use a variety of art making materials and techniques that will allow them to experiment and create original art. Our approach is to understand the needs of each artist and provide personalized guidance ensuring they are able to reach their goals.
Artists must be 18 years of age or older and be able to independently perform basic self-care skills (or bring an aide). Unruly Arts does not accept artists with a history of aggressive behaviors toward others.
The first two months are viewed as a trial period to gauge the artist’s interest in becoming involved with the creative process. Unruly Arts reserves the right to discontinue services at any time.
Unruly Arts is a fee-for-service program. Morning and afternoon sessions are offered throughout the week and run 2 1/2 hours each. The cost is $25.00 per session.
